Chocolate Strawberries


These are pretty self-explanatory really. But they are so easy and so delicious for parties and friends and gatherings and can be made in advance it’s a nice reminder.

Wash and dry a heap of fresh strawberries, clean off some of the messy green leaves and prepare a few plates layered with some grease proof paper.

Use the double boiler method for melting the chocolate. This means, boiling water in a saucepan, adding a clean, dry glass bowl on top and melting the chocolate in the glass bowl. Don’t get the chocolate anywhere near the water or else it will be ruined.

When it’s melted, wait for it to cool a little, about 5 – 10mins, then start dipping the strawberries into the melted chocolate and add them to the plates.

Once all done, you can add some roasted chopped nuts on top, or coconut or anything you like that will stick to the chocolate, or drizzle some white chocolate over the top. Then place your strawberries into the fridge. When you’re about to serve, take them out of the fridge for about 15minutes beforehand so they are not too cold. Lovely!
